Nature Club
Nature is not a place to visit, it is home.” said Gary Snyder. The Nature Club of KMKCP serves to sensitize students to nature- their home, their environment, and ecological system and is focused on increasing students’ understanding and appreciation of nature and raising awareness about the consequences of human activity on the natural world, and promoting environmental protection. The Nature Club with its student and faculty members strives to highlight and promote, environmental and sustainable activities in society, starting from tree plantation to rain-water harvesting, to conservation of heritage sites to creating environmental awareness, to understanding the flora and fauna for its protection, and spreading environmental education among students. It works to create an appreciation of nature in students through various events such as hikes, treks, nature walks, and competitions on eco-conservation and novel methods of rain-harvesting to establish and foster a deeper connection between students and nature.
